Bouwiene has a background in plant sciences and a strong interest in applying it to developing countries. At Resilience, she worked on the Hortinvest and Innowide projects in Rwanda and Kenya. Both projects are focused on testing and enhancing the growth process of the hybrid seed potato developed by Solynta.
